New and Used Car Parts DA Autoparts  have opened a new and used car parts centre including an end of life vehicle facility in STRANRAER - 2005 A much expanded range of new car parts, accessories and performance parts is available to the motorists that DA has served in the Stranraer area for over 20 years, and there is a much larger display and storage area.  Customer car parking is available on site. DA  stock a large range of popular used parts with many parts available for current models "off the shelf". There is also  a significant number of vehicles available that parts can be removed from to order.  DA used parts all have a 6 month warranty, unless stated otherwise. DA have been licensed to perform this work since 1991 in Dumfries and are going to install the very highest standards of equipment to meet the new and very stringent rules. DA is registered as an Authorised Treatment Facility by SEPA (Scottish Environmental Protection Agency). The company has been awarded the only Gold Seal certificate awarded to any site in Europe, from the USA based Automotive Recyclers Association. The latest development has been end of life vehicle processing which is aided  by the clutch of high tech equipment at both the St Marys Industrial Estate and Blackparks Industrial Estate sites. Here the vehicles can be stripped of useful parts and drained of any harmful pollutants in line with strict environmental guidelines, before the remaining shell is crushed into a cube no larger than a square metre by the company baling machine. DA has the contracts with many leading insurance companies through its founding membership with NSA/NSA, the largest salvage buying group in the country, and operates a territory from near Ayr in the North to Lancaster in the South. Many of these vehicles are relatively lightly damaged and can be repaired economically using either DA supplied New parts or Second hand parts from either depots stocks.  Some vehicles can be almost new, in all cases a vehicle can be obtained and repaired for substantially less  than normal, allowing a younger or better car than would otherwise have been possible.
